About Lin San Temple

Venerable Seang Heng (常恒法师) started the Lin San Temple restoration project in the early 1970s.

Under the guidance of Venerable Seang Heng (常恒法师), Lin San Temple become increasingly famous, and in 1973 he led the “Lin San Temple Reconstruction Ceremony”. Many devotees came to the temple to worship Buddha or attend the Buddhist classes.

In addition, Venerable Seang Heng (常恒法师) would participate in prayer sessions, charities at old folk homes and orphanages, teaching children the Dharma, and many more.

Lin San Temple has to be reconstructed after being designated as a dangerous structure 20 years ago. Venerable Seang Heng (常恒法师), who passed away in 2017, always wished to reconstruct the temple despite foundation damage, lack finances, and other reasons. The restoration of Lin San Temple has at last materialized following multiple community fundraising initiatives.
