Upon learning that my grandmother’s grave would be among the 80,000 to be exhumed due to the Tengah Air Base expansion, my family faced a decision regarding her final resting place. While my dad favored the government-owned option, my brother suggested exploring private columbariums first. After researching, we found Nirvana Memorial Garden, which we all agreed was a suitable choice.
As we entered Nirvana Memorial Garden, the tranquil atmosphere immediately put us at ease. Guided by Ms. Xu, a patient and caring lady, we toured the facilities and had all our questions answered. Ms. Xu also highlighted the importance of Afterlife Pre-planning, which many are unaware of.
Afterlife planning empowers us to decide our final resting place and funeral arrangements, alleviating financial and emotional burdens on our loved ones. Lack of planning often leads to family conflicts when faced with sudden decisions. Reflecting on this, I realized the importance of discussing end-of-life plans with family while we’re healthy.
This experience inspired me to raise awareness about the significance of afterlife pre-planning and to offer support during these challenging times of arrangement.
